Behavioral and emotional health have always been of great interest to me. One of my best friends was diagnosed at an early age with Asperger's Syndrome, and a knowledge of his condition, mannerisms, and emotional tendencies, has been important to understanding and responding to him appropriately in the context of our friendship. In fact, since he is my usual rock climbing partner, an understanding of his tendencies and reactions in a potentially unsafe environment have been critical to our safety as well.

In my post graduate studies, I have been fascinated by both the behavioral and humanistic theoretical approaches. Having the opportunity to work with an autistic population as a Behavior Technician would benefit us both, as I could lend my academic training to this job, and receive much needed experience at the same time.

I am not currently a Registered Behavior Technician, but I am willing to put in the work for this position.
