Cortney’s Bio
I was a preschool teacher for 10 years before I had my own daughter and starting taking care of my own sick mother. She passed June 2015. It's heartbreaking to see your family member falling apart and I was the one who held our family together. I saw something in myself during the years of watching her fall apart: I was a great caretaker. It was hard to see her sick, but I was overjoyed to help her, just as I am when I am teaching small children. I thought I was a great teacher, turns out I am just one of those rare people who genuinely and sincerely love caring for others. And caring sometimes means being firm, but with a balance of being gentle. I am naturally empathetic and loving, but sometimes losing your independents can make you angry and lash out. I have the ability to balance my loving kindness with my ability to be firm.
