Hello my name is Lizzie and I have given loving care to several seniors. I learned a lot about stroke and brain damage and paralysis from my own mother, a former marathon runner, when she suffered a massive stroke. I helped her to practice walking again, learning how to speak and eat, and keep an upbeat spirit despite the challenges. With paid work I have helped seniors eat healthy, listen to them, walk their dogs, help them to take their medicines, bring them shopping or do it for them and to prepare meals for them. I'm friendly and responsible and have no criminal record, I don't drink or smoke or use drugs. I love music, and love to hear the stories that seniors love to share. I have some experience with dementia, and am patient, kind and trustworthy. I raised my own two children and now I am in the caregiving business.
When I worked at a preschool in Stanford University for many years, I was CPR certified, and I will have to renew that now that I am working in Utah. I'm also an excellent driver, and in fact I drove for a living before having children.
