I was a live-in manager for a retirement community in Des Moines, IA. providing supervision & companionship to the residents. I took care of my Mom & my husband's aunt for many years, cleaning, preparing meals, helping with medication management, grocery shopping,appointments & prescription pick up. I was recently running errands, dog walking & various other things for an 87-year-old lady, until she passed away. I enjoy working with the elderly, trying to make things easier for them and trying to brighten their day as much as I can. I have worked in food service for many years and enjoy cooking and baking. I have been around animals all my life & currently have 3 cats that run the house, so I am very comfortable with animals. I have a very patient & calm demeanor. I am very safety aware, detail oriented & have a safe driving record.
