Jennifer’s Bio
I became a caregiver because I have wanted to help people my whole life. This career path has been a very fulfilling one; when I have worked all day I can come home and sleep peacefully knowing that I made an impact on someone's life that day. I started out as a CNA on the Mother/Baby unit at my local hospital and during that time I was also in school to get my Associates degree in Nursing. I became a Registered Nurse in 2006 and accepted my first position as an RN on the Behavioral Health unit; I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge and continued it for the next 5 years. I finished my Bachelors degree of the Science of Nursing in 2009. My next and final adventure as an RN was held as a Contract Nurse for the same hospital where I learned to do almost everything there was to being a nurse at Winchester Medical Center. I was basically a float-pool nurse; which is where you go where ever you are needed. I worked mostly on the Orthopedic floor, helping to rehabilitate patients who had come back from surgeries. I enjoyed watching these people get well and regain the ability to walk which they may not have had in years.
