I became a caregiver after my daughter married a gentleman with 2 kids and 1 child was non verbal and severe autism. At first it became getting her off the bus because they knew I would be dependable and be there before the bus came. I stayed with her until parents got home and on school vacations. Now she is still not potty trained. She has now aged ,out of school and is at home. I work with her everyday feeding,going outside and hanging and anything that she needs.
The only reason I am looking for a job because at the age of 22 she is going into residential living and live with others and she needs to have social outings with others her age and to see if she adapts well.
