I truly love each and every one of my patients. Getting to know them personally is so important to me. This job isn't just about the money; it's about caring for people, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I personally worked for Lancashire nursing & rehabilitation center with all kinds of patients including memory care patients This job required me to:
Pass out ice and make sure that each patient had water multiple times a day
Pass out and pick up food trays
Pay attention to each patient strict diet. Make sure that the kitchen didn’t
put anything wrong on their tray.
Monitor how much food that each patient ate and notify the nurse if any
changes have been made whether they’re not eating enough or need to be
switched to a different diet
Setting up patients trays whether it’s opening drinks, cutting their food or
getting them condiments or even making their coffee for them
Feeding and hydrating patients that cannot physically do it themselves
Sanitizing and organizing patient’s rooms or work area
Disposing of soiled linens
Stripping beds
Making beds
Communicating clearly with patients getting to know them and forming
bonds with them
Practicing PPE and HIPAA
Washing and sanitizing hands constantly
Restocking the linen closets
Notifying nurses of any behavioral changes in any of the patients
Helping out with activities being done by the activity coordinator getting
patience involved
Practicing infection control
Constantly monitoring rooms, making sure that patients are okay and
checking call bells
Leaving me with the skills of Working with adult populations ,Experience with individuals with chronic
illnesses, Inpatient rehabilitation facility experience ,Assisting with ADLs Patient
