Hi! My name is Kiyã Holston and I am a CNA by heart. I have been a CNA since 2021, so for about 4–5 years now, and I genuinely love what I do. I have gained a ton of experience working in different areas, ranging everywhere from Rural Retreat, VA to Bedford, VA. I started out in long-term care facilities, but I am currently working as a Private-Duty/On-Call CNA. This is a PRN (as needed) basis typically taking place in a client's home; however, I will pick up shifts through Clipboard and work in facilities as well.
To ensure the best match for independent work, I choose to be upfront about my physical boundaries. Due to severe scoliosis, my primary limitation is heavy lifting. I am fully capable of delivering excellent care, but I must accommodate my condition by limiting my schedule to shorter shifts or focusing on non-extensive care clients where continuous heavy lifting or excessive standing is not required.
I feel I have made a difference in so many lives so far and I don’t want that to stop now. I am more than capable of caring for my residents. I have a strong work ethic and I am reliable. I am a heavy believer in open, honest communication and I expect that to be reciprocated with everyone I encounter, especially in the workforce. Building a strong sense of trust and understanding is important. I am always here for anyone and everyone, and I absolutely love helping out, especially behind the scenes, to ensure a smooth day for everyone.
