- I am currently a junior student at George Mason University to acquire a Bachelors Degree on Social Work. My fields of concentration is Child Protective Services, Geriatric (working with older adults), and Immigration. Why I chose this career? Because I want to improve the quality of life and enhance the well-being of the most vulnerable and less fortunate within my community. My niece, nephew, and grandmother are my motivation and inspirations for wanting to become a social worker.
- I love to spend lots of time with my family and friends, but most of all, I love hanging out with my niece and nephew - from going to the movies, eating at our favorite places, going to church, taking them to the park, or just getting a $1 ice cream sundae from McDonalds and playing soccer in our backyard.
- I have taken child-development classes and Gerontology at George Mason University.
- I speak fluent English and Spanish (My native language is Spanish but I am comfortable speaking either language at home)
- I love animals; both dogs and cats. I am an owner of a 14 years-old loving black retriever : Tobby.
- I have experience working with children with special needs.
- I have experience working with multiple children -up to 4 children. Group ages include: preschool, grade school, middle school, and high school. I also have some experience working with newborns.
- I also have some experience working as a companion, but I'm more than happy to learn more.
- I am reliable, responsible, caring, trustworthy, confident, loving, nurturing, and an honest person.
- I am always ready to work and willing to learn new things.
- I have a drivers license and my own transportation.
- I offer homework help.
- I love the outdoors, arts and crafts, and singing lullabies with children.
- I have lots of references to provide if requested.
