Elsie’s Bio
I was a stay-at-home mom when my children were growing up. We lived in Arlington, VA and for additional income I babysat for working mothers and also kept homeless people for Arlington County Social Services. This was in the 1970's & 80's. Except for one lady who was bed bound all my clients were mobile and could dress themselves. I did bathe & dress the one that preferred to stay in bed all the time. I prepared all the food, did the laundry, changed bedding and furnished transportation to Dr's appointments. I did office work from 1990 to 2002 and then took care of my mother until her passing in 2009. I have a Certificate of Completion for DMAS Personal Care Aide Training Program conducted by Mid-Atlantic Hime Health in Sept.2011.
I worked for Mid-Atlantic a short while and due to a fall while out hiking I chose not to work until my knee healed. I am doing well now and would like to do home care on PART-TIME hours only.
