Hello! My name is Melanie. I recently relocated to this area and am looking for in-residence private home care opportunities. My certifications are all current in the state of Virginia, and include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Life Saving /First Aid. I have experience working in both facility provided caring, such as Senior Daycare Centers, and also in private home care. My preference is individualized care in the comfort of one’s home. While in New York I was able to gain invaluable experience providing private in-home care for two exclusive patients with Dementia, Hydrocephalus, Edema, OCD, Aspergers, and urinary incontinence as part of a rotating 24/7 staff comprised of myself and 3 other medical professionals. Responsibilities included housework such as cooking, cleaning, bed making, laundry, washing dishes, administering medications, assisting with dressing, bathing, conducting Range of Motion (ROM) therapy, and ambulation with a Gait Belt.
I absolutely love interacting, socializing and helping others in need. I’m a non-smoker who has her own transportation and a clean driving record. I love to cook, eat healthy, clean, organize, read, and exercise. I’m a fun loving, nurturing, and patient woman.
