During my time at Overlake, I completed four ten hour clinical rotations–during those four shifts I was able to refine my care, completing various tasks within the CNA scope of practice. Of which included:
● Activities of daily living: Ambulating, grooming, feeding, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
Patient Info: Taking vitals (Temp, BP, O2, Resps), monitoring activity, input/output.
● Anticipating needs and practicing proactivity. For example, asking if a 1-person assist & fall risk patient needs to use the bathroom after a meal.

Camp Counselor/Special Needs Support
● Provided around the clock care for adult campers with special needs and children aged 7 to 13 during their respective five-day, six-night camp sessions.
● Guaranteed that everyone's medications were taken and that my campers were ready for the day’s schedule, highlighting the things they may want to consider in relation to future activities/events.
● Resolved conflict, mediated arguments, misunderstandings, and disputes between campers as it arose to maintain a healthy and safe camp environment.
