When I was young, both sets of grandparents lived on the farm with us. My siblings and I loved visiting with them after school, playing games and having snacks.
When I was 9 my family moved to a small town in Alaska. There I also learned to respect Elders. In the native culture, Elders are to be treated with respect and dignity. At home and at gatherings they are always served first.
