Aloha!

My name is Lindsey and I grew up on the island of Maui, but moved to Connecticut to keep my grandmother company after my grandfather passed away. I have been living with my grandmother for the last two years. We enjoy going for drives around Connecticut while my grandmother tells me stories from when her and my grandfather were young, doing simple things like grocery shopping together or hanging at home watching jeopardy and wheel of fortune. My grandmother likes to be as independent as she can, but there is only so much she is capable of doing on her own. The older she becomes the worse her arms and back grow, so I try and do any tasks that require a lot of heavy lifting, raking, shoveling etc. Prior to moving to Connecticut I was working with a young girl who has cerebral palsy for almost 3 years. She was unable to walk or talk, and was 100% reliant on my care.
