I am the mother of two grown sons. I have worked with devoplemently disabled persons in several capacities. I also grew up up a blind mother and volunteered with MO Federation of the Blind.
Professionally, I have been full time care giver for a mentally disabled 18 year old boy. Those duties included giving meds, bathing and hygiene,
Activities of Daily Living, meal prep, social Interaction and stimulation, and transportation needs.
In addition, I did live in services for a middle aged female client who requires 24 hour care. My responsibilities included giving medications, personal hygiene, transportation, keeping accurate records of daily activities, rigid dietary and exercise regimes, and planning social outings. Those duties also included cooking, shopping, laundry, housework,
household inventory, and organization.
I am a very detail oriented person. I love to organize for maximum efficiency. I am honest, reliable and loyal. I am entergetic, enthusiastic, and not afraid to roll up my sleeves. I approach life with a light heart and sense of humor.
