Hello. I am a caregiver from Germany. I took care of old people with Alzheimer's , dementia and cancer. 2013 I came to USA because I found the love of my life online and moved to Puyallup and got married. I started to work for a couple in Puyallup. The old man had Alzheimer's and died a couple months ago. His wife is in a wheelchair and has a ostomybag. I took care of both of them 12 hours a day on. 5 days a week. I organized the medication and took them to doctors appointments. My duties were shower or bed bath, transfer them out of bed, preparing meals, housework, take them out for a lunch or shopping, doing some exercises and be there for them whenever they needed me. I do this kind of work since many years and I love this kind of job. The old lady has to go in a nursing home now because of her financial situation and I am very sad about this but I will be like a friend for her and whenever I have time I will go and visit with her.
