At 7-years old, my mother would leave me alone to provide care for her father, who was injured while serving in the Air Force and later became a quadrapolegic. I provided companion care, bathing/bathroom assistance, meal preparation and medication administration. This ultimately gave me a love and passion for caring for seniors. Unfortunately, I lost my mother in 2012 from cancer. I was her sole in-home care provider during her battle with Bile Duct cancer. Unknowingly, 5-years later, I would meet the person I would spend the rest of my life with. After 3-short months of dating, his father was also diagnosed with Bile Duct cancer. Since May of 2017, I have provided the same companion care for my soon to be father-in-law. Caring for seniors is my passion and is the most rewarding gift of being part of their life journey.
