After more than seven years with my current respite care family, the children I support are now teenagers and no longer require regular weekly care. So, I’m looking forward to supporting a new individual or family with the same consistency, reliability, and long-term commitment.

Caring for people with complex needs has been part of my life since childhood. My stepbrother, Lucas, had cerebral palsy, nonverbal autism, and epilepsy, and growing up alongside him shaped my approach to compassionate, respectful care. Inspired by this experience, I spent eight years working as a caregiver in group home settings and have continued providing part-time respite care since changing my main career path in 2017.

I have extensive hands-on experience supporting individuals of all ages with personal care tasks, including mobility assistance, feeding, transfers, and medication administration in addition to providing companionship and supervision. I also assist with household needs such as cooking and baking, cleaning, laundry, and general home organization to help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Building or maintaining clients skills is also important to me! I’ve worked as a life skills instructor for adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries, as well as teaching independent living skills to youth and young adults experiencing homelessness.

I believe strong care is built on trust, communication, and flexibility, and I approach every role with respect for individual routines, preferences, and dignity.
