Jill’s Bio
Over the past five years, I have provided personal care services for a toddler who is severely disabled, a teenage girl who has autism, an elderly woman with very limited mobility, and an elderly woman who needs housekeeping, companionship, and transportation. My clients appreciate my high standards of care, my creative approach to problem solving, and my demonstration of respect for and patience with my clients.
Prior to my family's move to Hudson, Wisconsin, I was a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Navy for seven years. During my high school and college years, I worked in retail. I have also worked as a tutor for middle school, high school, and college students.
I have a B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing. I also have a Certificate in Public Management (15 masters level credits).
I was drawn to providing personal care through my experience as a mother of a child with special needs. My caregiving for the elderly came later. Both populations are special to me because they come with needs which are sometimes misunderstood and an inner wisdom which is gained only through life and its challenges.
