Chantelle’s Bio
I'm a second year pre-nursing student at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. During the school year, I work on campus at the student wellness center as a student health tech. There I work with nurses and nurse practitioners assisting them with patients. I take the patients vitals and admit them so see their provider. I organize, clean, and stock the general clinic area and exam rooms. Other experiences that I have include taking care of my cousins while their parents were away at work; maintaining their health and wellbeing by providing meals, and maintaining hygiene through baths and toothbrushing. I adhered to the children's sleep schedule and introduced various winding down techniques to help them fall asleep faster and better. Finally I ensured a safe and comfortable environment.Another one is that I took care of my old roommate last year when she wasn’t feeling well. I took her to the emergency room, stayed with her overnight as her guest, pushed her around in a wheelchair, protected her privacy and made her feel comfortable, and I assisted her in changing into the surgical drape. I provided her with as much assistance as she requested.
