I have been a caregiver since 1996...but i have been CARING for others since I was 10 years old CARING for my mom due to her health issues. I'm a natural at providing quality care which I feel is most important...my vision is to enhance the quality of care for all people with disabilities. My mom got me started in this field..watching how I made a difference in a person's life lead me to continue in this field. I have worked with many different adults with different challenges from mental health..developmental delay..downs syndrome..quadriplegic..Alzheimer from ages 18-96 years of age. I am very passionate about what I do and it does not feel like work. I am CBRF certified so I am very knowledgeable of medication. I have my CPR certification for adults and children. I have been a Supervisor,a team lead, a medical coordinator working closely with doctors,casemanagers and guardians. I presently work in a group home taking care of 6 adults with different diagnosis. I have also done hospice for my mother and grandmother. I cook,clean,shop and assist with all ADL's. My STRENGTH is my love for what I do...my weakness is my love for what I do. I could never put a dollar amount on the quality of care I provide ...I believe this is one of the most rewarding jobs and honorable services any one human being could provide for another human being.
