I have a masters degree in professional behavior analysis and over a decade of experience working with children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds! I’m calm and patient as I believe modeling our emotional regulation is the best way for children to learn the same. I love playing indoors and (especially) outdoors, believing that learning and growing can happen through observation and play in any environment!

I am great with kids. Growing up I’ve worked in nurseries in the summer. I am currently a preschool teacher, I am able to help out with homework. I can help out with running errands and any light housekeeping. I can also help out with any meal prepping. I am comfortable around cats and dogs too.

Im a fun, colorful person children are naturally drawn to. My passions include health/movement, animals, art and food! I can be energetic or focused and Im very good at reading others and what they need at the moment. My experiences range from casual babysitting to long term nany, ages newborn to 12. Finding care for your family is stressful, and I want to provide the same care for yours that you would and give you full piece of mind when you have obligations away from them. Hi I’m Cortlyn. I moved to AL from TN about a year ago and I’ve been loving it so far. I have the sweetest dog in the world. I am 26 and have worked with kiddos for 7 years in daycare/afterschool/summercamp settings. I also have an 8 year old sister that I’ve helped raise. I have 3 nieces I visit several times a year. In addition, both my bosses bring their 1 yr olds to work with them often. Due to my experience, I help keep the babies happy and entertained while they work. Activities I enjoy doing with children… I’ve spent several years working summer camp programs so I love finding fun things to go do outside. Going to the park, blueberry picking, swimming etc. Inside activities can always be just as fun with some imagination. Arts & crafts, hide and seek, classic board games, and many more. The most important part about being a nanny… The most important part about being a nanny to me would be keeping the children safe at all times. Also helping them grow and learn is very important to me. It is so fascinating to watch children figure things out on their own at such a young age.

I began being independently responsible for other children at age 10 when taking care of groups of children ages 5-16 during weeks at a time. I have also dealt with babies in day care and my own sisters as well. Not only that I have worked as a participant of teaching an art club at the elementary school with 6-12 year olds. I have also won the Van Rensselear Star Chapter award for my exemplified charity, truth and loving kindness.
