I have been babysitting since I was a young teenager. One of my first babysitting experiences was assisting a mother with her two premature twin daughters while her husband was on a Guard Duty. I have since babysat for several families from the time their oldest child was an infant until they had 3-4 children in the family, in addition to many other families for more short-term care. Additionally, I have worked in church childcare, substitute teaching, and as a teacher for students in grades K-12. I have been working as a teacher locally since October 2011. While I enjoy teaching and find seeing students learn very fulfilling, I am looking at transitioning to a nanny position (or a combination of nanny positions) for better work-life balance since I now have children at home. I am regular trained in parenting strategies as well as CPR and water safety courses through my role as a foster parent. I am also open to occasional babysitting.

I have 17 years of childcare experience in a childcare setting with children of all ages from 6 weeks to 12 years old. I love outdoor activities, reading books, crafts, and just having fun being silly. I have been a preschool teacher and have 5 years of nanny experience and love teaching children new things. I love each child like they were my own and I am my happiest when I'm around children! I have an adorable 9 year old daughter and have First Aid and CPR training.

I’m 18 years old and bring both energy and experience to every family I work with. For the past 8 months, I’ve been working as a substitute teacher for ages 5–15 through Kelly Services, which has helped me build strong classroom management skills and connect with kids of all personalities. I also hold a teaching license in the state of Alabama, so you can feel confident that your children are in capable and responsible hands. I’m known for being funny, friendly, and outgoing, and I love creating a positive, engaging environment where kids feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Whether it’s helping with homework, planning fun activities, or just being a supportive presence, I’m dedicated to providing the best care possible.

With over 30 years of experience caring for children of all ages, I bring a calm, compassionate, and highly skilled approach to childcare. I spent more than 20 years as a pediatric nurse, followed by 10 years as a nurse in the emergency room. In addition, I was the the director of our church nursery for 15 years. I have also spent additional time working as a substitute teacher in a daycare setting. As a mother of four and grandmother of two, I understand firsthand the challenges and joys of raising children. I am CPR certified and remain composed and confident in emergency situations. Now retired from nursing, I am passionate about continuing to support families in a more personal, hands-on role. I provide dependable, nurturing care while also assisting with light household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation—always keeping your child’s safety and well-being as my top priority. I believe parenting is one of life’s greatest responsibilities, and I am here to help ease that burden by being a trusted, experienced resource for your family.
