I began as a teen in my neighborhood and continued caring for children part-time while in college and working other jobs, right up until I had children of my own. My husband and I have raised four children, now adults and have flown the coop. I sincerely miss children! They are such a joy, so funny, curious, authentic, and precious. Because it was always very important to me to remain available and involved, mothering/homemaking was my main job during my children's growing years (for which I have no regrets)! I also have experience with developmentally disabled children, as I formerly worked with Easter Seals and Nolan Services. Now that I'm a young "empty nester," I find myself wanting to be involved with children again.
