I have since moved South in search of the ocean and in pursuit of a Master's degree in Education and Multiple Subject teaching credential from Pepperdine GSEP. Excitedly, I completed my program in August! Unfortunately, post-hiring season. Although I am looking forward to becoming an elementary school teacher soon enough, I am most focused on using my education in my daily life- however that may be for now. I am well equipped with teaching methods, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques necessary both inside and outside the classroom. Your comfort, as well as your child's comfort and safety, is my utmost concern while they are within my care. I pride myself on my creative lesson planning (activities), nurturing demeanor, and clear communication skills with both children and their families. I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience working within theater facilities, preschools, daycare programs, after school/summer camps. My most recent experience with children was over 600 hours of student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom within IUSD. I also have several experiences working as a full-time private nanny for an individual baby/toddler. For these positions I was tasked with supervising and entertaining, feeding and changing, taking the child to the park or music class, nap time and bath time, light laundry/dishes/housework and so on. I am comfortable with the typical nanny/sitter duties! In my personal time I enjoy spending as much time as I can on the beach, doing almost any kind of arts and craft (specifically building fairy houses, a sacred hobby of mine), and caring for my 5 year old Maltipoo, Bailey!
