I have worked with children (as well as special needs kids and underserved youth) on and off for the last 10 years as a nanny, mathematics and literacy tutor, camp counselor, and most recently, as the director of an after-school program at Malcolm X Elementary School in Berkeley. I graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in International Relations and am currently back in school to change careers and become a nurse! I was accepted at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland and starting in November will begin an Accelerated Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program. I have extensive experience taking care of people with chronic conditions both in and outside of my family.
I come from a big multicultural family, have traveled the world, and speak Italian and Spanish at home with my family. I love dogs but am completely comfortable working in homes with all kinds of animals. I especially love the educational side of childcare and love working together with children to help them understand difficult concepts. I am a big adventurer and outdoor person so I love to share nature with children as well.
