Hello, my name is Alissia and I am 36 years old with 4 children of my own. My twins will soon be adults and off to college. My two younger children are in middle school and they are home schooled. My husband works at 3am so he is home by the time I need to start my day which allows me a very flexible schedule. I have been working with children for 12 years. I had tried hospitality, insurance and administrative. However none of those made me as happy as working with children. I have worked with ages newborn to 10 years old. I am fluent in English and Spanish, which does come in handy quite often. I am tidy and timely. Which works out perfect when working with children. I love exploring, learning new things, taking care of my family, and a huge fan of Sci-fi (so of course Star Wars included). I was sitting for another family for five years when Covid hit. When I started their son was eight months old. I cared for him one day a week until they put him into preschool. They had another baby boy that I started caring for a couple of months after he was born. They have four children that I sat with several times a month in the evening for their date nights. I have always love working with children. I started babysitting early on as a teenager. It wasn't until after becoming a mother I knew I wanted to become a teacher. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and struggled in school. During grade school many of my daughters teachers lacked the information needed to help her manage her ADHD in the classroom. I graduated in 2022 with an AA in Early Childhood Education and an AA in American Sign Language. I want to make a difference as a teacher and be a positive role model to all children.
