For the past 8 years, I have cared for multiple children in Sacramento, San Diego and Davis at varying degrees. My babysitting experience begins when I was 16 y/o when I babysat a 3 y/o boy for date nights, last minute events, as well as his parents’ wedding. After graduating high school, I became a full-time nanny for 2 y/o twin girls where I was working 50 hour weeks, including early mornings and overnight shifts. While I was pursuing my undergraduate degree at UC Davis, I worked as a part-time sitter for 5 different families, a respite worker for 1 year, and a teaching coordinator for a few months. From taking care of these kids, I have experience with making bottles, changing diapers, giving kids a bath, naptime, making lunch and other meals, as well as getting them ready for bed. I am always ready to learn something new and I will do exactly as you ask me to. I pick up on information very quickly and am very good at following instruction. I am 21 and just finished my junior year at Grand Canyon university where I am majoring in elementary and special education! I absolutely love children and seeing the world through their eyes which is why I am becoming a teacher! During my time at the daycare I worked primarily with children of 18-24 months but also helped out in other classrooms ranging from newborns to pre-k. I was in charge of the supervision and well-being of the children in my care. I created lesson plans, led circle time, changed diapers, and provided lots of love and encouragement. The most rewarding thing about my time at this daycare was the lasting bonds I was able to establish with the children.
