My philosophy about children is that they are precious gifts and they need to be given lots of love, roots and wings. They need unconditional love and a feeling of security which is the roots; this will enable them to learn self-reliance and independence and a positive self image (wings). They need to be nourished as well as disciplined. I have cared for children for about 16 years from infants to teenagers.. I believe in helping children (and babies) with language development by talking, singing and reading to them. My favorite activities to do with children are arts and crafts and music and movement. I also enjoy taking them on excursions, especially to parks and museums. I also love yoga and walking and pets.

Robin took care of our 20-month old daughter for several months. She picked her up from school/daycare, brought her home and fixed her dinner, and played with her until my husband came home. I was working several hours away, and the peace of mind that Robn gave us was amazing! She has baby-sat for us in the evening as well, and our daughter is always glad to see her.
