My name is Mariah Andersen and I am 26 years old. I’ve always loved kids and being around them and taking care of them growing up. I started babysitting at the age of 15 years old. First it was family friends kids then I became a constant babysitter for my niece & nephew since they were born. My niece is now almost 7 years old and my nephew is 5 years old. I started babysitting when my nephew was as young as 5 months, now they go to school so I’m not needed as much. I am also a in Home overnight caregiver to a non verbal, young adult that has autism. I have worked with him for about 4. Years now. I help with daily tasks that he needs assistance with as well as any medications, taking them to doctor appointments & toiletries or cooking If needed. I also worked in kids club at inshape gym I’m Vacaville where I watch parents kids as young as 6 months up to 12 years old while they work out but due to covid I left. I also was a behavioral technician with kids with autism. I am CPR/AED and CPI certified as well as I have my certification in mandated child abuse. As of December 2021 I work with Grapevine Nannies agency. I am only on-call right now looking for a part time position. I pick up shifts when families request care for their children. While I’m not too familiar with infants, I do have experience with children ranging from ages 1yrs to 14yrs. I am a high school graduate with 5+ years of childcare and 2+ years of early childhood education from watching younger neighborhood kids in middle school to being an assistant preschool teacher and outdoor educator. I absolutely adore working with infants and young children, and have extensive knowledge of childhood development. I have been working at an outdoors based homeschool and after school program for the last 6 months and love every minute of it but with a recent move to Solano County I'm looking for more home based childcare jobs.
