I am a high school graduate with 5+ years of childcare and 2+ years of early childhood education from watching younger neighborhood kids in middle school to being an assistant preschool teacher and outdoor educator. I absolutely adore working with infants and young children, and have extensive knowledge of childhood development. I have been working at an outdoors based homeschool and after school program for the last 6 months and love every minute of it but with a recent move to Solano County I'm looking for more home based childcare jobs. I have open availability after 9am on weekdays, and any time on weekends. I have worked with ages 0-14 and have experience working with children who have learning disabilities, special needs, and/or behavioral needs (including children with heavy trauma who need extra compassion and understanding). I have also worked under Waldorf teaching curriculum, which can be closely related to Montessori style teaching for those who are not familiar. I have come to use many aspects of these curriculums in my personal care for children outside of my teaching positions. When I am not working you can find me reading, camping, taking road trips, finding good coffee, and honing in on my love for cooking, baking, cleaning, and organizing.

Hi my name is Teresa and I am a very energetic 65 year old. I love working with children and have been doing it for a little over 30 years and loving every minute of it. I started working in large license home daycares for about 22 of those years to being a preschool teacher for 6 years to becoming a nanny for 3 years caring for two little girls who I absolutely loved. I studied early childhood education at Sacramento City College so that I teach in a preschool classroom. I love watching children experiment and try new things. I love to go on nature hikes and cooking with them as well as trips to the park and the library and I love planting things with them and having them see how things grow. My philosophy is to treat each child with love and respect and to really listen to concerns.

I am a Nanny from Los Angeles CA. I also do someon call babysitting on the side. I try to schedule these around my existing full time job. Presently I just moved backto the Sherman oaks area, and am searching for some on call or parttime babysitting. my babysitting style first and foremost, am NOT the type of babysitter who is dependent on the T.V for your a childs primary source of entertainment, whether am babysitting, or in a permenant Nanny position,. I do feel educational programs are great in moderation or some relaxing down time after school, or right before bedtime ( with parents permission ) I feel like theres so much more to do outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors as well. I perfer to engage in a child in some crafts, or anything activities they have a flair or special interest in . ( Because contray to popular beliefs not all children are interested in crafts. ) theres outside play, for example... my last babysitting date, she is 3 years old we created a special box with all our activities inside, this box was just for us when I came to babysit. when i arrived at the door she would happily greet me, and run to get our special activities box. That day we colored a big refridgerator size card board box with markers, stickers, and glued colored pipe cleaners, cotten balls, and what ever else we could find outside, and painted our names on the front, pretended we were making a princess castle. . parent/caregiver interaction is great, but its also important we refrain from their "Directing Play" for example.......If a child is coloring in his/her coloring book and wants to paint the frog yellow with pink spots,... Let Them... try not to suggest other colors, or stay in the lines etc, let them express their ceativity the way they need to. eventually they will learn all these life lessons about " what color a frog is?, or learn how to stay with the lines etc. I do understand there are times that children need to be Re-directed when demostrating unconstrutive, unsafe behavior, or testing parental set boundries.

Hello all! My name is Kayla, and I’m a recent UC Davis graduate currently living in the area during my gap year before continuing my career in healthcare and working on applying to EMT jobs. Thus I am CPR and BLS certified. I’m looking to fill some hours doing what I love most—spending time with and supporting children and families. I come from a large family and have always been the go-to babysitter, but I also bring a wide range of professional experience working with kids. I completed a 6-month internship at UC Davis Health, where I worked alongside a Child Life specialist and ran the Play Room for children ages 0 months to 18 years. I’ve also worked as a preschool camp instructor and am a certified Behavioral Technician, having provided support for children with autism between the ages of 3 and 5. I’m patient, creative, and love engaging children through crafts, play, and activities tailored to their unique needs and interests. I understand how overwhelming day-to-day life can get, and I’m here to be a reliable, helping hand—whether that means entertaining the kids, tidying up, or running errands. I have my own car and this has reliable transportation. My goal is to support your family however I can. Looking forward to meeting you and helping make life a little easier! Unable to be sitter for homes with dogs/cats as I’m allergic.

I love being a sitter because I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow. Their curiosity and energy make every day rewarding. I have four years of experience in daycare settings and currently work at a daycare on my university’s campus. This has given me hands-on experience caring for children of all ages in a safe and engaging environment. I’m skilled in communication, patience, and problem-solving, with training in child safety and activity planning. My goal is to create a nurturing space where kids feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn and explore.
