I love caring for children and watching them as they grow and develop, teaching them and allowing them to teach themselves about life and the world they live in. I have many years of experience with all ages as the eldest of four and the chosen sitter for many of my younger cousins. Newborn to three years old are my favorite and specialty but I am experienced with all ages up to 16 years old. I love playing and I am a firm believer that the best learning happens through play. When I am caring for children we dance, cook (depending on age and ability), read, paint or color, sing, and do lots of talking-regardless of age!!! I believe effective, respectful communication is needed when dealing with people of all ages, but especially children. It is important to me that a child have high self-esteem and I do what I can to foster an environment that promotes it whenever I care for children.
