I am a 54 year old retired and widowed Police Officer from the East Coast. I served for 23 years (8 of those in the SVU/Youth Division) and retired in Aug 2016 after I lost my husband. I now live in Parker. I have prior experience as a nanny for 4 years (at the same time, still don’t know how I pulled that one off). My little charges were two infants, 2 toddlers, and one elementary school age girl. I served in the military for 3 years then became a Police Officer in 1994. I’m a firm believer in love, and tons of cuddles with book time. As Per individual parents wishes, I’d rather listen to laughing kids, using by age appropriate learning games, playing outside, getting dirty ( that’s what baths and washing machines are for) over using a TV for a babysitter per household day to day rules and norms. I am well versed in healthy meals for your child and can always prepare meals for the parents if they don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day. I’m fairly well versed with most cuisines depending on your family’s cravings, and dietary needs. If your kids are older and show an interest in cooking, I’d be delighted to teach them the basics and take a step back and see where their creativity takes them. It’s a fantastic way to boost confidence! I’m also available for travel in the event your child is young and the parents need some quiet time/childcare needs while traveling. (I have a US Passport in addition to an EU Passport as I have dual citizenship) I’m also available to keep a household running smoothly and handle every aspect of your child’s care needs for parents(s) who occasionally need to travel for work. I speak English, have a pretty laid back ( yet vigilant) demeanor, excellent communication skills. and a healthy sense of humor. I have a reliable and safe vehicle with an excellent driving record as well as have been an advanced BLS trained and extensively experienced Medical First Responder throughout my 24 year career in Law Enforcement. I have been a nanny for over thirty years. I have had the pleasure of working with many infants, several sets of twins and some special needs. In general I love all children and find joy in working with them. I am CPR and First aid certified as well.

My caregiver career started when I was 12 and my brothers were born. Being so much older then them I was capable of helping out. This meant giving them bottles, changing diapers and lots of play time. I soon found out that I had natural act taking care of kids which then led me to babysitting. To this day I still babysit and make connections with families in and around my area here in CO. Before the pandemic I started working for a daycare and was responsible for 5 1yr-2yr olds. Married - 29 years. We have 3 children.....25, 22, and 20. I have cared for children since I was a child myself. I continued through middle and high school and into my adult years. I did complete an Early Childhood Education course my senior year of high school and received my certificate for that. I worked in customer service/inside sales for a worldwide manufacturing company in Littleton, Colorado for about 10 years (until our first child was a year old). I then began working at Lakehurst Medical Center and remained there until our second child was born.
