My academic background and professional experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in child development, mental health, and advocacy. Professionally, I’ve worked as a research assistant in the Cognitive Development Lab, where I gained experience designing studies, analyzing data, and presenting findings. At CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, I transitioned from a facilitator role to victim advocacy. I developed my ability to assess needs, report findings, and provide court recommendations for children in challenging situations. I also began working with children through Sittercity, providing care for toddlers and school-aged children, which solidified my passion for supporting young learners since 2021. I have been working with children for almost 2 years. I spent a year working as a preschools teacher’s assistant with 3-4 year olds. Through that I gained a lot of experience and training. I loved playing and interacting with the children. Creating a safe and consistent environment to grow and learn in. Over the summer I was an AuPair in Italy for 3 months and took care of four children, two of them being twins, ages 1-3. It was an incredible experience and allowed me to be more involved in the everyday life and routine of the children and family. Since returning home from Italy, I have gotten the opportunity to substitute, at the preschool I used to work at, almost every week. This has allowed me to work with ages 18 months- 5 years old. Along with being a nanny for two children which has been a great experience as well. It is very important to me to put in my best effort everyday and put the needs of the children before my own. Insuring that they have a clean space to play and of course nice meals to eat. Hi, I’m senia! I’m a psychology major at MSU Denver, 3 years into my Bachelor’s degree. Though I am still located in Colorado Springs. I’ve been working in childcare for 3 years, with experience in all ages groups. I currently work for Kindercare Daycare as an infant and toddlers teacher. In the past, I have done before and afterschool care for elementary aged children, as well as tennis coaching for kids 5-7 years. While I do have little experience working with older kiddos, I am still open to those positions. I am CPR and Med certified with 16+ hours of Colorado Shines PDIS training completed.
