I have always loved taking care of children. In my younger years, I taught gymnastics to preschool-aged children while I was in high school and during my first year of college. I also babysat frequently for neighborhood families. My husband and I have raised three amazing sons who I homeschooled part-time while they attended either private or public school part-time. We moved to Monument in 2019, so I started working as a nanny closer to home for a two-year-old and newborn until the family moved out of state. I have been working with children for almost 2 years. I spent a year working as a preschools teacher’s assistant with 3-4 year olds. Through that I gained a lot of experience and training. Over the summer I was an AuPair in Italy for 3 months and took care of four children, two of them being twins, ages 1-3. It was an incredible experience and allowed me to be more involved in the everyday life and routine of the children and family. Since returning home from Italy, I have gotten the opportunity to substitute, at the preschool I used to work at, almost every week. This has allowed me to work with ages 18 months- 5 years old.
