We have absolutely loved having Kai provide care for our 18-month-old daughter. For the first couple of weeks, our little one was really nervous and cried a bit, but Kai was patient, gentle, and understanding. She allowed our daughter to lead the way and to engage at her pace and her comfort level. It didn’t take long for our daughter to warm up and look forward to Kai’s arrival each morning. I really appreciated Kai’s focus on learning as she was always teaching our daughter new things (ex: letters, sounds, basic sign language), keeping her engaged, and spending lots of time exploring outdoors. Kai has super positive energy, is very attentive, and clearly cares deeply about the kids she looks after. The only reason we’re not continuing with Kai is that my role was recently eliminated and so I’ll be at home with our daughter, otherwise, we’d absolutely keep working with her! Evelyn was a great swim sitter! She helped us swimsit for two days and would show up early/on time which was great. I had a list of a general schedule (eating/reading/writing/playing/swimming) that she did a great job following. She works really well with younger children. She has experience working afterschool at the boys and girls club. She was also very patient with my two boys who can get very rowdy. She was a great help in the time we had with her.
