In school I was involved in clubs (president of the drama club), swim team, and have been a Girl Scout since elementary school. I am certified in first aid + CPR and Lifeguarding. I’ve worked as a camp counselor at HK Recreation and taught swim lessons for the past few years to elementary and middle school kids. I also lifeguard at the HK pool. I have been working in childcare for seven years now. I started off being a nanny for an 11 month old and 4 year old then I worked in a daycare setting with infants and toddlers for 3.5 years. After 3.5 years in the daycare setting I decided to go back to being a nanny. I am working towards an associates in early childhood education and I was CPR/First Aid certified but it has recently expired and I would be willing to get it updated. I really enjoy working with young children and helping them learn and grow in those first few years. I believe it’s important to keep them engaged with age appropriate toys and activities while caring for them.
