Hello! I’m Tessa. I have worked with kids in various settings for about 15 years. I have nannied and babysat, I’ve worked in classrooms, in outdoor education, and was the director of a nature-based afterschool program. In these various settings I have worked with infants through elementary-school-age kids, occasionally with middle schoolers as well. My formal education in child development started in high school through the Child Development Program that led to preschool teacher certification in RI. I earned a dual bachelor’s in psychology and child studies, which involved work in an infant classroom in a daycare setting and led to a teacher certification for infants and toddlers in MA & CT. I have always had a soft spot for children. Growing up I didn’t have any siblings so when I got opportunity to be around children, I always enjoyed every second of it.I have worked many summers and a few school years with kids so I know what to expect from them.
