I have watched a 7 year old girl and 9 year old boy for almost a year until they moved , helping them with homework, playing outdoors, and going to parks, the zoo, movies, and kid's fun places. I have taken care of and nurtured a toddler from the time she was 3 months old until 2 years of age. We went on daily outings to the park, library, and children's museum. I have kept a daily journal for parents to enhance communication. I have had several dogs ( golden retrievers) and am pet-friendly. I've always worked with children including camps, daycare, nanny, tutor and after graduating college I taught 6th, 3rd and 2nd grade before starting a family of my own. I took time off of teaching to raise our 3 children who are now 15, 13 & 12. I'm looking for PT/FT nanny job while my own children are in school. Also willing to work part time during summer months if the family is ok with occasional drop off and pick ups for my own children as they are out of school. I'd be open to helping after school hours if the family is comfortable with care happening in my home and coming with us for different sports/activities drop off & pick ups. Ideally, I would love to plan daily outings around the area to include mystic aquarium (I have membership), local beaches, parks and museums on rainy days. If you're wishing for someone to stay in your home to care for your child then I would most likely not be the best fit for you. Hello. So I started with a family of two Dr’s. Caring for their newborn son. Almost exactly a year later I brought my own first daughter with me to their home to continue as their nanny. Fourteen months later I had my second daughter and asked that they bring their two yr old to my home so as not to take two of my babies out to their home, and they did. I had my third daughter one day shy of two yrs later and also started caring for another baby four months older than my third. So I decided to become state licensed and for fifteen years cared for six children under six at all times. I was blessed to eventually care for all teachers children so it was special to have my summers and school vacations off with my girls. After my divorce I went into housecleaning since I no longer Had the big home to run a daycare business anymore. My daughters are now grown beautiful successfull women who have married and blessed me with five grandchildren from five years to four months. I have been the sole caregiver for my two grandsons who are now three and five presently. My granddaughters are two and four and our new blessing to the family is a four month old baby boy. I have and always will love more than any other job caring for babies, toddlers and children. I only have my three yr old grandson now since his brother is in full day school. I really hope to continue caring for others babies, toddlers and children until I physically cannot anymore. I strongly believe in educational stimulation and arts and craft activities. We spend a lot of time outside getting fresh air and being adventurous. I give lots of love, cuddles and fun with all ages as I did my own girls growing up.
