I truly cherish the opportunity to help other parents in need of child care, whether it be a set schedule or a one time opportunity. I graduated from Emory University back in 1990. After having a successful career in advertising for over ten years, I stopped working to care for my premature twins (who are now 23 and out on their own). I eventually returned to the workforce part time as a Substitute Teacher in New Fairfield's two elementary schools, where I often worked one-on-one with children with autism. After teaching for a couple of years, I went back to work full time as a Job Coach, working with adults with disabilities, first in a restaurant, then in a movie theater. I did this for about five years, then COVID hit, and sadly, I, along with many, lost my job. Since then, I have been helping a family in town during the school year, taking care of their children in the mornings (giving them breakfast and getting them on the bus) and afternoons (getting them off the bus and giving them a snack). Since I am free between approximately 8:30 and 3:00, I am looking to fill this gap a few days a week. I'm also available most evenings and some weekends. In addition, I am free most of the summer. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and also have my ServSafe food license. I am fully vaccinated and double boosted.
