Hi , my name is Stephanie and I am a mama to 5 special needs kiddos. We are a large , beautiful , blended family . I have a pretty significant / expansive work history, all of which has brought me to where I am today. I am just coming out of being a nanny to two beautiful bonus babies and am considering trying something new, as well as potentially pursuing another flexible childcare position. I ended up where I am now because after my 3 kiddos father passed away , my son with pretty severe autism had been and continued to struggle for quite some time leaving me no other choice than to leave my career in a special education school. Due to my history of working with a variety of different populations of kiddos , I am comfortable and pretty well versed in dealing with a variety of social , emotional , and behavioral needs as well as skill building techniques when the emotions are to big for our babies bodies . If you can imagine , raising special needs kiddos requires immense patience . I am comfortable with all levels of feeding / toileting and training . I have also worked other short term jobs in between being a stay at home mom well before the loss of my kids father “ consignment shop , gym , etc “ all of which still ultimately led me to the path I have been lucky enough to be on . I am quite literally a jack of all trades and some of the things I currently do , have done , and am willing to do are : cook , tidy up, organize , do laundry “and put it away “. I also clean - wash dishes , sweep , mop , vacuum , wipe down surfaces . The world is hard for parents right now. In addition to my kiddos I also have several pets and am comfortable around animals of any size , breed , type . We have a few dogs , several cats , and a bearded dragon named reptar . A circus. We have a circus. If your tarantula looks like Lucas the spider , we’re good .
