Maria B., Nanny in Alachua, FL 32615 with 14 years of paid experience

Hi there my name is MariaElena. I am from Carolina Alta, Puerto Rico. I have been living in Gainesville, FL since I was 8 years old.  I am in the process of moving here  because my brother is a Warren Officer in the Marines and stationed here in Jacksonville NC.  I have been working in child care since the age of 13, started of  babysitting here and there until the age of 18 when I got a job in a daycare. I worked in daycare until the age of 22. I got married and started doing Nanny from home. I've been doing this now for a couple years. I feel like I love more to be a nanny because you get more of a one-on-one with a child rather than in a daycare environment there's a different ratio so you don't get that one on one. I have always wanted the parents to feel safe when they drop off their most precious gift and feel secured that I will care for them with my whole life as if they were my very own. I love what I do and I don't think that that will ever change, I feel like I can learn so much from the children and the same time they learn so much from me. Right now in Gainesville I have an in home daycare where I have eight children right now with another co-worker. The ages vary from 3 month old too a four year old. I have plenty of references that I am willing to give upon request. I like to have everybody on a schedule where they do Circle time, learning time, manipulatives, sensory,  outside time, arts and crafts, and so much more. Depending age we focus on colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, writing, homework activities,  and any requirements for that age group. I have gotten kids ready for VPK that's a program that they have here in Gainesville I don't believe that they have it there in Jacksonville. I potty train, I can prepare meals,  I am bilingual and love to speak Spanish to the kids so that way they will learn a second language, I also know some sign language that I also try to teach them.  I am looking to add more kids because as of right now I will only have a 4 year old.  if you have any questions please feel free to email me or contact me to my phone number, thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sarah C., Nanny in Alachua, FL 32615 with 11 years of paid experience

I have been a nanny and babysat children throughout most of high school and college. I have 10 years of paid experience! I have a BS in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health. I have babysat and nannied for many special needs children and teens. I have also worked with children with profound food allergies, deafness, Autism, Down syndrome, and Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. I can sign and will gladly teach children who are not hearing impaired if you wish! I also have infant care experience and experience working with triplets and twins. I love children of all ages and enjoy their energy and simple enthusiasm for life. I love spending time outside in the rain or shine! I enjoy playing games, swimming and doing arts and crafts. Art is very important to me and I love to show children how to express themselves through sketching, sculpting with clay, or painting. Also, I understand how busy most parents can be, and sometimes even with the best of intentions, housework can sometimes begin to fall a bit behind. I never had a problem doing some cleaning and a few loads of laundry. I love to cook foreign dishes, and I also love to bake. I am mostly looking for a full-time/part-time job as a live-out nanny to a mature family- meaning mom and dad have steady jobs, and are not heading out the door to go hang out at the local bar at 11:30 a.m. I love working for secure families, people who truly love their children and are just trying to provide the best life possible for their little ones. I hope to hear from you soon! A few more things: * I much prefer working nanny jobs with a nanny contract. I have a few pre-made contracts that we can potentially use as a template. * I love large families; the more kids the merrier! * I love working for home-school families! I have worked for a couple of homeschooling families in the past and they were truly amazing! * I do not work for stay-at-home dads-once in a while if dad is sick or has errands, then of course, no problem! * Ask for my references. They are excellent!

Victoria D., Nanny in Alachua, FL 32615 with 11 years of paid experience

Hello! My name is Victoria D'Orazio, and I’m so excited to find my next full-time nanny position! With over 11 years of experience, I’ve had the joy of caring for children from newborns to 12 years old—most extensively between the ages of 3 months to 4 years. I have a strong background in supporting children of all abilities, including those with Down syndrome and autism. My experience includes working in private homes, public school classrooms (as a preschool teacher’s aide), and as a 1-on-1 aide for children with developmental disabilities. I bring warmth, reliability, and positivity to every family I work with. I’m passionate about nurturing children’s emotional, mental, and physical development and dream of becoming a mother myself one day. I'm also happy to help with household tasks—cooking (I love to cook!), grocery shopping, light cleaning, laundry, and driving. I recently relocated to Florida to support my boyfriend while he attends dental school at UF, and I’m looking to build a long-term, meaningful relationship with a local family. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (graduated with honors) and have a background in musical theatre—creativity and fun are always part of my care style! I’m CPR and First Aid certified, have a valid driver’s license, and am comfortable caring for multiple children at once. Over the years, I’ve built strong, trusted relationships with many families—some of whom I’ve worked with for over 7 years—and I’d be happy to provide references who can speak to my character and experience. I’m also highly organized, with strong time management skills and a calm, clear communication style. I work closely with parents to ensure their values and routines are supported. I love helping children learn and grow and am confident supporting early childhood development—whether that’s helping with reading, writing, or homework for older children. In my free time, I enjoy trying new recipes, baking sourdough bread, going for walks, bike rides, and attending church. These activities keep me grounded and joyful, and I bring that same positive energy into my work with families. I look forward to connecting with you and your family!
