Hi I am a retired dental hygienist after working 30 yrs in the same office. I have 4 kids and 8 grandkids. am available for week days and date nights and overnights. .I was working for a.vascular surgeon and neurologist taking care of there 18 mo old..started when she was 3 mo but grandma retired and wanted to watch the baby. I was watching a 3 yr.old little girl in Valrico 5 days a week ..started full time when she was 4 mo old but she is going to montessori full time so my job ended . I was working 4 days a week for a couple in Valrico taking care of a 2 yr old( I started when she was 3 mo) and 7 and 8 yr old. She is now enrolled in a Montessori school .l And I was working full time in Tampa watching a yr old but that ended because he is going to the same school as his brother.Previous to that I was working for 2 lawyers who have a 4 mo old and a 2.5 yr old. but they moved to Tallahasee. And I also worked for a couple in Plant City who have a 2.5 yr old son during the week. I am cpr certified and do not have a criminal background.. I love children and when I retired from the dental profession I knew I wanted day care to be my next profession.. I live in Lakeland but I don't mind driving 45 min to an hr away. I did it for 30 yrs and in the snow!! I have a 2012 Toyota prius and it's great on gas and I have a clean driving record. I devote my whole time to the child and children. Gina aka Norma Jean. I love working with children and having the opportunity to learn and grow with them. I currently work as a substitute teacher in FCCS and my first ever job was at a daycare, where I had many skills needed in the childcare industry. I worked as a floater and was able to work in almost every classroom that ranged from infants to preschoolers. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to learn and grow with all kinds of personalities and thrive in different types of environments. One of those qualities is the ability to multitask and develop critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment, while also keeping everyone safe and happy. After working there a couple of months, I worked for a nannying/baby nurse agency and I had the pleasure of working as an infant nurse/caregiver and was able to care for two lovely little girls. I also had the responsibility of assisting their mother in the house with light duties. Overall it was a very lovely experience and I learned a lot from these individuals. I believe I would be a great fit due to my experience and my eagerness and willingness to learn more and grow.

I love working with kids and teaching them new things. The happiness on a kids face when they finally accomplish something they have been working on makes me love being a sitter. I enjoy the outdoors, animals, crafts and trying new things. I work with preschoolers and I'm DCF certified as well as CPR certified. I have experience babysitting as well, I've babysat my neighbor's children as well as family-friend's children.

I have always loved working and playing with babies and young children. Even when I was a child myself I would help my mother in the church nursery. After college I went on to get my Masters degree in Learning Disabilities along with Elementary Education.
