Hello, my name is Tressa Mower. I’m 27 years old and currently living in Rigby, Idaho. I’m the second oldest of nine kids and have always had a natural connection with children. I’ve been caring for and working with kids for over 15 years, and it’s truly where my passion lies. I have experience as a nanny, in daycares, preschools, and elementary school settings. I even spent a year assisting in a kindergarten classroom in 2016–2017, which was a highlight for me. During the early days of COVID in March 2020, I stepped in to help my mother as a personal assistant and tutor for my younger siblings, and I found so much joy in supporting their learning and growth. That experience deepened my desire to become a teacher. I am currently attending school to become a preschool teacher. I completed the Pathway program through BYU–Idaho and am now in the process of transferring from the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) to BYU–Idaho. I’ve earned both an intermediate certificate and a basic technical certificate in Early Childhood Education, and I am CPR certified. Outside of work and school, I enjoy writing, reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family. I’m outgoing and love both the outdoors—hiking and swimming—and cozy indoor activities like crafting, playing board games, and card games. My favorite foods are watermelon and fettuccine alfredo. Hi, my name is Daniela, and I’m from Colombia. I am an Au Pair (nanny) participating in a cultural exchange program, living with an amazing American family and taking care of two wonderful kids. The program lasts two years, and I’m now close to finishing my second year with them. I love kids, and this experience has been truly incredible. My daily responsibilities include getting them ready for school, preparing their lunches, driving them to and from school, and taking care of them until their parents get home around 5 or 6 PM.
