My current 7 month old Kasha, is working on her AKC obedience titles. She has some big paws to fill! I have a Law Enforcement/Animal Control Officer, a Medical/ Medical Computer Systems background and have also worked in the Corporate world. All of those jobs I really enjoyed. But I’m completely happy and comfortable in a private/domestic setting taking care of children and managing a household. I excel at ensuring that the household is running smoothly, and I like putting my excellent organizational skills to work. It is a very gratifying experience for me. To be successful, there needs to be teamwork and open communication. I became a caregiver because I had experience babysitting my 4 younger siblings growing up but also because once my siblings got older my love for kids remained. Family is important to me, and I enjoy supporting families with their unique needs and goals. I've been involved in different aspects of childcare from providing care for my nieces and nephews throughout their childhoods to volunteering as a leader in youth programs to working professionally as a freelance sitter, a long-term nanny, a summer camp counselor eventually as a summer camp director to working as a volunteer coordinator connecting volunteer tutors with families of vulnerable communities in need of academic support for their children here in Chicago. I am a full-time nanny living in Chicago and I also provide babysitting services on occasion.  I have been helping with childcare for my family since I was 12 years old, as the eldest of five children, three of whom are active boys.
