I've been a nanny/babysitter since I was 18. I'm now 37 years old and I have a 8 year old son. I've always enjoyed interacting with kids and caring for them. I know how hard it is to leave your children with a stranger so I always to make everyone feel comfortable and be that extra hand they count on. I was in the army reserves for a few years and have also worked in a pediatric dental office as an assistant and receptionist. My now ex husband joined the army and so we had to move around a bit but my son and I moved back to the Mundelein area. My mom was also a nanny and so I grew up going to work with her and found my own passion for helping families and followed in her footsteps. All the families we have worked for have become like family and most we still keep in touch after the kids have grown up. My son has been going to work with me since he was 1.5 years old and he loves it. It's like a playdate for him and the other children. He's very social and well mannered. My most recent work was for a family in Lincolshire who had 2 little girls ages 2.5 and 5 when I started. I was with the from Jan 2023-Aug 2024. Prior to them I was with a family in Texas who have 2 little girls. They were ages 2.5 years old and 5 months old when I started. I worked for a year with them. I have other references from Illinois as well. My son used to go to work with me and I was lucky to find families who were kind enough to allow that. Now he is in school all day so its not longer a neccesity but I still would like to find families who wouldnt mind if i needed to for all the random days off of school, however I know it's not for everyone so I would understand and have care for him. I've cared for all ages from 6 weeks old to 14 years. I've also worked in a daycare in the infant room and toddler room. Helping to care for 12-20 kids at once. I enjoy doing crafts with the kids and going outside. I have my own reliable car and am non smoking. I also enjoy taking care of pets so if you have any that's not a problem. I've dogsat for families as well. I've taken care of up to 4 kids at once alone. I also organize so if you need help with that I would love to. Updated availability!! Hello Families! I am an experienced nanny looking for a part-time position, in your home or mine. I have a two-year-old daughter who will be in my care as well. During college, I worked as a nanny for four great families. Soon after graduation, I was married and had my first child. I transitioned into providing child care for other families with my daughter in tow, and with her I worked for two wonderful Crystal Lake families. On a typical day, you might find us visiting a park, taking a long walk, or bathing in a kiddie pool. Indoors and during cooler weather, we enjoy reading daily, visiting a local library (we often sign up for story-time), dancing to music, crafts for older kiddos, and sensory activities for those that are younger.
