Hello, my name is Elyse, and I am 18 years old. I am going to ICC next semester and ISU in the summer to begin my degree in elementary education. I have a couple years of experience with kids, as I used to work as an assistant horse trainer. I loved this job, as I got to work with kids of all age levels. Being raised in my mother's home daycare, my love for children started young. As I got older, my ability to help her increased. During high school, I took up Child Development classes as well as First Aid and Safety, Culinary, and CNA. From January to July, I was an Assistant Teacher at Little Wings Childcare and Learning Center. I worked in the 2 year old room. Although I testified to the "Terrible-Two's" phase, it didn't overcome me. Growing up with an autistic brother has helped me develop patience and understanding towards those with different abilities.
