My experience began in high school where I taught 4yr old preschool children who attended our high school program. As a result of that, I began to Nanny for a family of one of my students. I have worked a before & after school program for a variety of grammar schools through the park district. Innate love, compassion and patience in caregiving has taught me to teach & guide children in a gentle way. I was an attachment parent (baby wearing, bonded, close contact) with all four of my own children. I allow the child take the lead for creativity and exploration of their environment, with appropriate boundaries for safety and rules of the home. In my experience, I have worked in three day care facilities, mainly infant and toddler rooms, from 1998 until 2003 and again short term in 2017 and 2023. I also did some short-term nannying for three families during my college years. After college, I taught a 4-year-old preschool class at Kindercare Learning Center, from 2003 to 2005. When my son was born, in May of 2005, I started to nanny full time. Since then, I have worked as a nanny, as a home daycare provider and babysitting, for 21 different families to present day.

I'm currently a stay at home mom to an awesome 19 year old daughter and super amazing 2 year old son. I've been a nanny for over 19 years now and went to school for early childhood education. I worked with a family with two elementary aged boys for 5 years, another family with an infant for a year, and also am CCP certified to work with and teach children from infants to school age children through the daycare I formerly worked at.
