Hello All, My name is Jacqueline Cooper. I have my bachelors degree in Psychology and Anthropology both focusing on child development and caregiving. I am studying to become a child and family therapist. I have nine years of childcare experience as a nanny/babysitter/mother's helper/tutor. I have been both a full time and part time nanny for multiple families for the last 5 years. Some of my clients include a 4 year old girl I’ve been with since she was 3 months old as 3 year old twins since they were 9 months old. Adding newborn siblings as well. I have worked with numerous wonderful families through SitterCity and Chime. I have experience with Montessori learning methods and gentle parenting styles. I prefer to follow the child’s needs and interests to build our routine rather than a strict schedule. I strive to facilitate the child’s independence and emotional literacy from a young age through mutual understanding. Please ask me about my activity album! I am very responsible and attentive. I am First Aid and CPR trained and recently background checked. I have glowing references and letters of recommendation upon request. I also have experience administering medicine and children who use epi-pens. I can be counted on to get kids through the evening routine and into bed without too much fuss. I was also an assistant camp counselor for 6 and 7 year old girls so, I am very capable of keeping multiple children engaged with crafts and games as well as safe on field trips. I have spent time as a reading mentor and teacher's assistant for Kindergarten-4th grade. I am a major advocate for early learning and curiosity. This is my 9th full year on Sittercity and I have had repeat jobs and been referred to friends by lovely families I've worked for from the site. I have both letters of recommendations and contact information for references. Finally, I just love children! I am observant and responsive to the different stages in development which helps me attend their needs as well as being an enthusiastic playmate. Additionally, I am also an occasional dog walker so, any furry siblings will also be in good hands with me. I recently became qualified as a home care aid for the elderly through the Department of Aging. I'm definitely a caregiver personality to all. Thank you for reading!

Hi! My name is Miranda, and I’ve had several years of childcare experience in a variety of settings. During college, I worked as a nanny for an infant for about a year and a half, which gave me hands-on experience with feeding, changing, naptime routines, and developmental play. After graduation, I spent time in Paris working as an au pair, where I cared for two young children and helped with their daily routines, school pickups, meals, and language development. In addition to those roles, I’ve also worked as a summer camp counselor and a substitute teacher, giving me experience with children of all ages. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have completed a child safety course. My background in psychology and community work has helped me develop a calm, patient, and supportive approach to childcare. I love creating a fun, safe, and structured environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel cared for.

Hello! My name is Jessie. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UIC. I am also an occupational therapy practitioner and certified respite care provider. I love to work with children. I currently am working at a therapeutic clinic for children with developmental disabilities. The clients I work with are from the ages 0-27 years of age. I am a very organized and detailed person. Being patient is one of my good traits. Contact me if you need a responsible and caring babysitter/ respite care porvider. Available for date nights, weekends or part-time.

Hello families! My name is Amber (31 yo), and I have around 10 years of childcare experience behind me. I work full time as a graphic designer, but still like to pick up babysitting gigs to make extra cash and still be able to enjoy working with kids! The majority of the 10 years in childcare was nannying. I spent usually 1 to 2 years with different families with kids ages ranging from 3 months old to 12 years old. I mostly was with kids between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old though. I additionally worked one year as a teaching artist assistant for 4th graders and spent two years in Paris as an au pair for two children ages 3 and 5 when I started. Personality wise, I am pretty high energy, I am an artist and always love to implement art into childcare, and I see nannying/babysitting as a team sport. I am here to help you as parents and ready to implement your parenting style and happy to bring my own experience to help as well! I am very communicative and try to stay off my phone while with kids. I don't like when my friends ignore me on their phones while we hang out, so I am sure kids don't like that either. Overall, I am comfortable with light cleaning. If there is a nap, I can run a dishwasher or throw a load of laundry in, but I don't prefer to be a cleaning person on top of a nanny. I will always clean up whatever mess is made that day, but I like to be sure to mention my boundaries! (More of an issue with nannying/au pairing!) I hope I can help out and meet some great families and kids to grow a relationship with and look forward to hearing from you!
