I have been working with children professionally as a full time nanny for the past 23 years. I have extensive experience with newborns, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, including experience with twins and in nanny shares. I love to form a bond with the children I work with; I have stayed with most of my nanny families from when their child was a newborn or infant until they began preschool, 2 to 3 years later. I love spending time with kids; they always keep me on my toes! I really enjoy reading books, singing and playing with babies and young children, and taking them out to the park on a nice day. I also incorporate my love of animals and nature in our day, as I love to teach children about the living world around them, and help to bring out their inner scientist. I grew up in the Northern Virginia area just outside of Washington DC; I got my AS at NVCC, before finishing up my BS in Biology at George Mason University. I lived in Portland, OR for over 10 years, before moving to Collinsville, IL in August 2022. In my free time I bike, hike, swim, practice yoga, and cook healthy meals.

Hello! My name is Samantha! I currently work as a CPR certified personal trainer with a Bachelor's in Foods and Nutrition from SDSU. Despite my current field in health and nutrition, I have worked with kids since i before I was 13 years old. Most of my experience has been volunteer through my churches, but I also have years worth of babysitting experiencing kids of different ages. I also have experience as a tutor. When I was in junior high, I used to help out with the preschool and toddler classes at church. By the time I was 13, I was a teacher for the preschool class. I did this for five years, and I often babysat for the kids in my class as well. It broke my heart to say goodbye to all of my students when I moved to San Diego to pursue a degree in nutrition. After moving to San Diego, I spent a couple of years working in the 2 year old class at my church. I had to stop when the church closed down. The last couple years have been focused entirely on my degree. However, I really miss working with kids. I enjoys making up fun games to play and listening to their crazy made up stories.
